Position Store Manager
Job Summary Full responsibility for store operations following overall Company policies, including activities designed to maintain and improve the store's customer service, daily volume and gross margin.
Qualifications Prior experience as a retail store manager or assistant
Demonstrated supervisory skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
Organizational skills
PC knowledge
Job Functions Oversees all day to day store operations
Trains and supervises store personnel
Oversees merchandise set-ups and displays
Supervises and interacts with outside suppliers and vendors
Responsible for appropriate loss prevention efforts
Maintains merchandise pricing structures at store level
Trains management staff (Assistant Manager and Floor Supervisor) for future advancement
Interviews job applicants and makes employment offers
Documentation of associate's discipline and termination, if necessary, after corporate approval
Responsible for internal and external store security, cleanliness and maintenance
Initiates and conducts associate conferences
Prepares and conducts performance appraisals
